LEADERS OF TOMORROW (LOT)

Professionals are motivated to participate in the LOT program for many reasons. Here are some great reasons to join our team:

  • From Cs to the C-suite – Sessions are designed to reinforce learning and ensure that students set realistic goals for academic achievement and increase their potential for future success. Provide students with the tools to be responsible about school life and extra-curricular activities by creating an accountability feedback loop with adult volunteers.
  • Share Opportunities – There are no better advocates for the variety of career opportunities than the professionals who perform and excel in their roles every day.
  • Enhance Leadership and Functional Skills – The LOT program provides an arena to lead projects and teams.
  • Networking Opportunities – Share knowledge and insights with other professionals with a variety of specialties, roles and industry experience.
Engager Designer Facilitator
Role

Engage students in a two-hour group session where you participate in impromptu exchanges with students.

 

Group sessions are followed by 1-hour one-on-one engagement with a student to share experiences, answer questions and reinforce key learning from the sessions.

Design curriculum in one of four core content areas: Self-awareness and Team-Building; Financial Management; Personal Management or Career Exploration.

Facilitate face-to-face with students in a group setting in one of four modules: self-awareness and team building; personal management; financial management and career exploration.

Preparation Level
Impromptu, one-on-one exchange. Contribute to content by creating case studies, curriculum, ideas for delivery, etc. Review and rehearse session notes and reinforce key learning.
Time commitment
3.5 hours on one Saturday per month in face-to-face group sessions. Engagers commit approximately 28 hours for the year. At least once per month via conference calls, emails or in group meetings. Designers commit approximately 20 hours for the year. Facilitators commit approximately 8 hours for the session delivery.
